RSA has implemented a registration cut off. This involves a maximum number of players and a final registration date whichever comes first, May 15, 2013. Registrations are received on a first come first serve basis. A $30 late fee will be applied to all applications received after May 15, 2013.
Players who wish to tryout out for the ESL teams will be required to be first registered with RSA and pay a tryout fee of $25. Once successful in making the competitive team there will be an additional fee of $100 payable.
RSA cannot guarantee that it will be able to accommodate special requests for children to be placed on the same team. RSA will no longer accommodate coach requests.
Equipment required to play soccer at Riverview Soccer Association
Shin guards are mandatory for all players of all age groups including U4-under FIFA laws. Shin guards are worn under the socks. If a player forgets their shin guards, they cannot play that game.
Each player should have their own water bottle with name on it and place near their team’s bench area.
Although cleats aren’t mandatory they are helpful, especially in wet conditions, and are recommended especially for players entering into the U8 and up groups.
Coaches are given team balls, but some drills require more balls so players are encouraged to bring their own ball with their name on it to each practice/game:
U4 to U6 use a size 3 ball U8 to U12 use a size 4 ball U14 and up use a size 5 ball
Each player in our House Leagues receives a full uniform (called kit) which consists of socks, shorts and a jersey that they keep and are not returned at the end of the season, for house league players.
Players that are on our competitive teams (ESL) will receive a full kit once a deposit is put down and at the end of the season they return the jersey and shorts, keep the socks.
A reminder that players have to remove all jewelry before entering the field of play, this includes stud ear rings that were just put in. This is to prevent injury to the player(s).
Soccer equipment can be purchased at most retailers and speciality sports stores, please support companies that help sponsor RSA.
The Riverview Soccer Association has been very lucky to have found the sponsors that we have. It is their generous contributions that help RSA to have successful soccer seasons. We wish to express out heartfelt gratitude. If it was not for them, we would not be able to have successful soccer seasons year after year.
We hope that you recognize their contributions and show your appreciation by supporting them.
Celtic Football Club (/ˈsɛltɪk/; LSE: CCP) is a Scottish football club based in Glasgow, which plays in the Scottish Premier League. The club was established in 1887, and played its first game in 1888. Celtic have a long-standing rivalry with Rangers; the two Glasgow clubs are collectively known as the Old Firm.
Celtic have won the Scottish League Championship on 43 occasions, most recently in the 2011–12 season, the Scottish Cup 35 times and the Scottish League Cup 14 times. In 1967 Celtic won an unprecedented quintuple: not only becoming the first British team to win the European Cup but also winning the Scottish League Championship, the Scottish Cup, the Scottish League Cup, and theGlasgow Cup. Celtic also reached the 1970 European Cup Final, and the 2003 UEFA Cup Final.
Crest and colours
For Celtic's first season they wore a white top with black shorts and black and green hooped socks. This kit featured a green Celtic cross inside a red circle. Next season they changed to a green and white vertically striped top and for the next fourteen years this remained unchanged. In 1903 Celtic adopted their famous green and white hooped tops.
RSA presents Alumni Bursary:
President Shawn Dempsey and Vice-President Scott Costain of Riverview Soccer Association recently presented Mr. Ryan Lacey with RSA’s first awarded Alumni Bursary to honor founding members Pierre Caissie, Peter Carpenter, and Andre Velden.
Best Wishes to Ryan in his post secondary education endeavors.
Ryan has played soccer for RSA since 2004, and for Codiac prior to 2004.He was team Captain for RHS last year which was his senior year.
He has played ESL Division I since U12. Ryan is attending Oulton College and is enrolled in the Policing and Corrections program.
The Regional Development Program (RDP) will run for a 4th consecutive season during the winter of 2013-2014. The program will be open to all U12 players who were registered with a club during the 2013 summer season, as well as all U14, U16 and U18 Division 1 and Premiership players.
These programs will serve a dual purpose of developing players; all while identifying and recommending these players for the Team NB program and the Soccer NB High Performance Academy.

RSA has increased the late fee to $30.00 per registration, for the 2013 season. This is not a way to increase revenue, but hopefully a deterrent to registering late. It takes a great amount of time to create teams and to find coaches for the teams that don’t have them. Please register before deadline.” This fee will be applied after May 15th 2013.
